 About me...

The ocean was my love from a very young age and I was determined after finishing my media degree to pursue this passion and put my mermaid dreams to good use....
In 2007 I Graduated from University and went travelling round the world - where my diving career really began.

Photography was always a great passion for me. My first weekend job at the age of 16 was for two professional photographers. I went on to study & Graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Media Degree, however,  before and after University my career path always came back to photography.

I have dived in numerous countries throughout the years and worked in far North Queensland, Australia, where my diving progressed into a career. I then collaborated my passion for photography with my love for the underwater world and went from Divemaster to Underwater Photographer.

I recently spent 2 years in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand where I worked as Head Crew/ Photographer for a Dolphin swim & encounter trip. This has allowed me to move my photography to new areas & enticed me to do a lot more above water work with people rather than selectively marine life.

I am currently back in my homeland of Scotland working for a company which takes people out to see the Moray Firth Bottlenose Dolphin.

As a person who strives to improve, I love my marine photography and found that freediving can provide a more natural & purist form to capture images, especially with cetaceans. A lot of my work within my portfolio is of this nature and adds a different photographic artistry to my profile.

Essentially I want my photography to keep progressing and not be specifically water-based. I have been honoured to have my work used as part of several PHD projects to help us learn more about cetaceans and sharks which again is something I am passionate about helping. I have so much love for the ocean and I will always specialize in my marine photography but I hope to add more dimensions to my camera-work with my portraiture and Land/Sea scape.

Whether your a diver, marine lover or have a general interest in photography - please look through my work and any comments will be greatly appreciated. I am still learning and hope this online gallery will evoke more work/ experience and further my passion and progression.
